How could I forget Mass Effect?! Hoping they make another Mass Effect game (apparently it's in development)...I've also heard rumors that Larian Studios' next game might have a sci-fi setting, i.e., Baldur's Gate 3 in space. I've probably got 150+ hours in BG3...scary to think about how much time I'd put into their next game if that's the case.

I really enjoyed reading Pandora's Star and Judas Unchained by Peter F. Hamilton and I consider these books space operas. I'm currently reading The Evolutionary Void, the third book in his series The Void.

Peter Hamilton is great. I've only read Pandora's Star years ago, I'll check these out!

I am trying to explore the stories that inspired authors and movie makers and creators of today, and so I found Vernon Vinge, and his novel: A Fire Upon the Deep is truly worth the read.

If you like Vinge, check out Greg Bear, especially The Forge of God and Eon.

1. ST: Enterprise was fantastic. I don't care what you haters say.

2. Please make the Bobiverse series of books into a series or series of movies. It's funny and tense, has a sense of discovery (both joyful and terrifying), and could be plausible in some future timeline. It's the complete package.

3. Daniel Suarez's writing is worthy of a small or big screen treatment. While his stuff may not be "space opera" material, it's nonetheless some of the most engaging sci-fi I've ever read.
