Ben Hogan, who many consider the greatest ball striker in the history of golf, used to say that he could hit three shots per round that turned out exactly how he envisioned them. Most amateurs are lucky to hit a few of those a year. That's the "ping" moment, and it absolutely flushes the dopamine/reward system. Golf is a "jackpot game," among others: slot machines (literal jackpots), battle royales (victory royales), soccer (scoring a goal), fishing (catching a trophy fish). In some ways, we are simple creatures!
The Masters’ dedication to quality, presentation, and storytelling reminds me of Disney. They really try to do everything they can to make things feel magical.

I’m no golfer, but I’ve enjoyed walking courses with Josh in the past. Great exercise.
The one thing I took from the game is the idea of a “Ping” moment. That point in time when you finally do something you’ve struggled with for a while.
As I understand it, when you really connect the club and the ball the right way the golfer hears/feels the Ping.
